PPC Case Study: Online Acne Treatment Retailer

Company Description

Company is an online only retailer that sells over-the-counter blemish and acne treatments such as creams and cleansers. They are best known for their handheld device, which uses heat treatment to clear pimples in as few as 24 hours.

Challenge

Client was with another agency that was not meeting performance goals and did not communicate regularly (hold meetings, send performance reports, etc.). Client came to Ionic seeking to increase sales volume, conversion rate, and Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) while decreasing the Cost-per-Action (CPA).

Solution

Ionic set up Google Analytics to track results, restructured accounts and began keyword expansion to gain greater engine coverage. We conducted ad copy testing and optimized accounts based on the newly installed tracking. Weekly status meetings were set up to review progress and reset benchmarks, as necessary.

Results

Within 2 months, Ionic was able to:

  • Decrease the CPA by 50%
  • Double ROAS Grow actions/month from 40 to 180
