March 1st, 2007 : Holistic Search Tactics: Paid and Natural

The conclusion was that paid search is good, natural search is good, but together they are better -- the proverbial "one plus one equals three."

“When we incorporated natural search into an existing paid search campaign and compared its performance to the performance of the paid search campaign alone, clicks soared by 92 percent; the number of site actions rose by 45 percent… and time spent onsite went up 39 percent."

June 1st, 2007 : Lines between DM and brand marketing blurring: DMA report

The lines between direct marketing and brand marketing have all but disappeared, according to a new survey by the Direct Marketing Association.

The report, “The Integration of Direct Marketing and Brand,” shows how direct marketing’s versatility and measurability have led marketers to integrate direct marketing tactics into all brand marketing efforts across multiple channels.
